Coronavirus (Covid-19) Support

The coronavirus outbreak is transforming the way we live and work. West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) are working hard to maintain essential services to businesses and residents, and keep our communities safe.

The Mayor of the West Midlands and WMCA are working closely with partners in public health, local and central government, charities and businesses to support everyone throughout this period.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

The Government has called on the public to remain vigilant in the fight against coronavirus, and have introduced their new three tier system.

With Covid-19 cases rising quickly in some parts of the West Midlands different restrictions will now apply to various areas.

Dudley have been placed into Tier One (Medium). Restrictions include the Rule of Six, and the closure of hospitality at 10pm.

Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton have been placed into Tier Two (High). Restrictions for these areas primarily aim to reduce household to household transmission by preventing all mixing between households or support bubbles indoors. The Rule of Six will apply in outdoor spaces, including private gardens.
