Social Care Webinar
A career in social care is truly rewarding and offers a variety of different roles that are all vitally important and focus on helping individuals and society.
This webinar explored the training, recruitment and career progression for jobs in social care, as well as the benefits and rewards of working in this sector.
We would particularly welcome attendance from groups who are under-represented in the sector. In the West Midlands, only 16 per cent of social care workers are male and nine per cent are aged under 25.
At any one time in the West Midlands, there are around 9,300 unfilled job vacancies in the social care sector.
Types of job roles in Social Care include:
Care Assistant, Support Worker, Personal Assistant, Activities Co-ordinator, Administrator, Chef, Kitchen Staff, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Care Manager.
In addition to the usual roles in social care there are wider part-time and full-time job opportunities including the following:
Administrator, Personal Assistant, Community Engagement Officer, Activities Co-ordinator, Employment Adviser, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Project Support Officer and Minibus Driver.
