Walsall Outreach is a volunteer project providing assistance to the most vulnerable in the community.
The dedicated team have worked quickly to adapt to the needs of the coronavirus pandemic. The demand for their services has grown rapidly over the last month, and they have worked tirelessly to deliver food and essential supply packages to those in need. Volunteers source, pack and deliver around 300 food parcels every week, reaching out to all areas of Walsall.
Walsall Outreach have also recently launched a hot lunches service in partnership with The Glebe Centre, One Hope Foundation and the Afghan Community and Welfare centre. This project sees volunteers home-delivering hot meals to the most vulnerable in the community 5 days a week.
Walsall Outreach has established a fantastic support network across the city. They have linked up with local businesses, supermarkets and kind individuals who are donating food and financial support. They are also working with Walsall Council and local charities to make sure that help is given where it is most needed.
Walsall Outreach are making a real difference to the lives of hundreds of people across Walsall, and its inspiring to see how the community is coming together for the greater good.
