St Peter's Church in Hall Green are coordinating support for those self-isolating in their community.
Vicar Revd. Martin Stephenson and his team have set up a WhatsApp group to provide alerts of needs and offers of help and support. Volunteers from the local community are helping to deliver essential supplies and run errands to those in need. They are also supporting the food bank centre at the Church of the Ascension, Hall Green.
Although the church is currently closed, the team are sharing services from their homes on their Facebook page. Their midday prayers have a special focus on mental health during these difficult times.
As well as offering spiritual support, the volunteering efforts of the St Peter's Church community are making a real difference to people's lives.
