Dudley Canal

Dudley Council is well known for its tradition of innovation and determination, characteristics that have served the area well for years and continue to underpin it today.

The historic capital of the Black Country, Dudley borough is the home of the iconic medieval castle and key tourist attractions including the zoo and Black Country Living Museum.  With over five million day trips are made to Dudley each year an amazing £161m is generated into the local economy.

With its population of over 300,000, Dudley has strong and passionate communities and important regeneration projects are underway.

The WMCA is supporting the people of Dudley with many activities in the area, ensuring this legacy will benefit future generations.
